Job Title: Defensive Cyber Operations Planner Location: Fort Meade, MD Contract: 6-Month Contract-to-Hire Clearance: Top Secret/SCI Eligible About the Role Apex Systems is seeking an experienced Defensive Cyber Operations Planner to join our dynamic team supporting a major government client at Fort Meade, Maryland. This is an exciting 6-month contract-to-hire opportunity, ideal for professionals passionate about advanced cyber defense strategies and eager for career growth in a mission-critical environment.

You will work in a collaborative setting, engage with elite cyber experts, and play a key role in safeguarding national security. Responsibilities - Lead the planning and execution of defensive cyber operations, directly supporting mission objectives - Develop, author, and staff comprehensive cyber operations plans (CONOPS, Commander's Estimates, BPLANS, CONPLANS, OPLANS)

• Apply operational art, design, and JIPOE elements to enhance cyberspace planning effectiveness - Guide diverse teams and stakeholders to achieve Commander's priorities and intent - Support and conduct future operations (FUOPS) planning in alignment with DCDC mission areas

Required Skills and Experience - Active Top Secret Clearance with SCI eligibility - Minimum 10 years of overall professional experience - At least 4 years in cyber operations management, analysis, or planning - Proven expertise creating and authoring cyber-related CONOPS and Level 1-4 operations plans - Completion of one of the following: JPME 1/2, JAWS, SAMS, ACOPC, JCOPC, or JACWC Preferred Skills - Advanced knowledge of joint cyber operational planning processes - Experience leading multidisciplinary teams in high-stakes environments - Strong communication and documentation skills Benefits - Potential for permanent hire after contract period - Work with one of the largest government clients on the East Coast - Monday-Friday dayshift for optimal work-life balance - Career growth in a highly specialized, high-impact field How to Apply Ready to advance your career in cyber operations?
