  • Design, implement, and test C applications within a real-time operational environment.
  • Analyze and understand signal processing algorithms, often developed in MATLAB.
  • Port signal processing algorithms from environments like MATLAB, Python, or C++ to C for optimized execution on multi-core Systems-on-Chip (SoCs).
  • Optimize C code for Digital Signal Processing (DSP) applications, leveraging hardware acceleration and parallel processing to meet stringent real-time requirements.
  • Develop Hardware-in-the-Loop (HITL) tests to rigorously validate signal processing algorithms.
  • Clearly communicate technical details of software designs and implementations to both internal and external engineering teams.
  • Support system field testing and data collection events, typically involving short durations deployed a few times per year.

What You'll Need

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or Computer Science.
  • 4+ years of software development experience, with a strong emphasis on C/C++ for embedded systems.
  • Solid understanding of linear algebra and probability.
  • Proficient knowledge of fundamental signal processing concepts (e.g., Fourier transforms, filtering, complex arithmetic).
  • Familiarity with hardware-software interaction and basic computer architecture.
  • Experience with MATLAB and signal processing algorithms.
  • Proficiency with build tools such as GCC, CMake, or Make.
  • Experience using version control systems (e.g., Git) and continuous integration tools (e.g., Jenkins).
  • Experience with software testing tools and methodologies.
  • Ability to create and maintain technical documentation for developed software.
  • Excellent communication skills for sharing ideas, concepts, and designs within a team.
  • Comfort working in Linux development environments.
  • Demonstrated ability and motivation for continuous learning of new technical skills.
  • Active Secret level security clearance with the ability to obtain TS/SCI.

What's On Offer

  • The opportunity to work on cutting-edge technology in the defense sector, directly impacting warfighter capabilities.
  • A collaborative, multi-disciplinary team environment focused on innovation and rapid prototyping.
  • A hybrid work model offering a blend of on-site and remote flexibility.
