Job Description

Title: Test Technician (Probe/Handler test Hardware)

Location: Santa Clara, CA Onsite

Duration : 6 months extensions up to potentially 24 months

The Test Technician will support the hardware debug and data collection activity at the test house and at local and overseas manufacturing partners. Major responsibilities will be to maintain existing probe and handler hardware, debug and repair defective hardware, bring up brand new test and probe hardware, and assist in the transfer of HW overseas.

Responsibilities:

  • Repair and maintain probe and handler test hardware Probe cards, handler interface boards, connector interface boards
  • Coordinate with PCB vendors, get quotes and place orders for new hardware as needed.
  • Assist in bringing up hardware at manufacturing partners overseas.
  • Assist offshore manufacturing partners with debugging probe hardware issues.
  • Learn wafer probe methodology of upcoming new products in preparation for mass production.
  • Collect, and analyze data on wafers or final packaged IC s as requested by engineering teams.
  • Prepare manufacturing documentation and specifications related to wafer sort and final test

Qualifications & Requirements:

  • Certification in Electronics Engineering, Computer Science or related field desired.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience working in semiconductor industry required.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, Word and computer tasks required.
  • Computer programming skills are a plus.
  • Can work on a Saturday and/or Sunday if needed.
  • Must have good planning skills and be able to work independently without supervision.
