Job Description

We are seeking a Principal Delivery Manager to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in digital product delivery, Agile delivery management, and cross-functional leadership and a proven ability to drive on-time, high-quality product releases across complex portfolios.

Responsibilities:

• Lead and build a comprehensive Delivery Management function aligned to portfolio vision and digital strategy.


• Drive timely delivery of digital products and software across product and platform organizations.


• Ensure team performance and adherence to enterprise requirements methods, validation, maintenance, and tracking.


• Partner with senior product leadership to establish and foster delivery best practices and processes.


• Define and maintain product roadmaps with product managers, managing resource allocation and forecasting.


• Collaborate with principal peers to manage delivery through financial, development, and resource planning.


• Identify and manage inter-team and cross-product dependencies at the enterprise level.


• Report product progress and escalate risks and issues to senior leadership as needed.


• Act as an Agile lifecycle leader, developing toolsets, frameworks, and best practices for delivery teams.


• Stay informed on product and platform architecture to alleviate bottlenecks and support deadlines.


• Co-lead the Delivery Management Chapter to evolve skills and mitigate risk across the lifecycle.


• Build, retain, coach, and mentor Delivery and Scrum team members to support empowered teams.


• Create frameworks, guidelines, and practices for consistent delivery methodologies.


• Partner with IT and Engineering leadership for enterprise coordination and priorities.


• Build strong relationships with internal and external partners to maximize delivery impact.


• Ensure delivery of high-value products aligned to business goals and optimized user experience.


• Lead daily Scrum ceremonies and advocate iterative design, build, and testing.


• Collaborate on backlog grooming, roadmap definition, demos, and retrospectives with Product Managers.


• Produce and socialize Scrum metrics including velocity, capacity, and burndown charts.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• 6+ years in digital product delivery management, Scrum Master, or equivalent role.


• Experience managing initiatives across multiple internal and external development teams within complex governance.


• Ability to oversee multiple products, complex initiatives, ongoing releases, and new product development.


• Ability to build release processes and frameworks grounded in Agile and CI/CD best practices.


• Expertise with Agile product methodologies and lifecycle management.


• Effective communication of product and platform vision among product, engineering/IT, UX/UI, operations, and senior leaders.


• Hands-on guidance to remove obstacles and deliver on time, within budget, and to documented requirements.


• Ability to assess emerging technologies and adapt delivery approaches accordingly, especially in healthcare contexts.


• Demonstrated leadership driving best practices in product discovery and development operations.


• Technical fluency and leadership experience partnering with engineering and IT teams.


• Relationship-building skills across multiple organizational levels and stakeholders.


• Strong written and verbal communication with active listening and facilitation abilities.


• Planning, organization, problem solving, attention to detail, and multi-initiative management skills.


• Proactive conflict navigation and resolution to support delivery outcomes with high-risk interdependencies.


• Recognized subject-matter expertise as the delivery lead for assigned products and portfolios.

Preferred Skills:

• Product management experience in life sciences, healthcare payor, or regulated industries such as banking, government, or non-profit.


• Background creating and launching digital healthcare products with market adoption.

Education:

• Bachelor's degree required.

Certifications & Licensure:

• Preferred: CSM, A-CSM, PMI-ACP, or CSP.

Schedule Notes:

• Understand mobile and web product strategy and translate into delivery plans.


• Write and refine functional and technical requirements for new and existing digital features.


• Liaise with engineering, product management, and QA to communicate feature definitions.


• 3-5 years experience in similar roles shipping mobile and web software in regulated environments.


• Experience in rapid ideation, problem solving, product definition, and net-new feature creation.


• Preferred experience creating and launching digital healthcare products with adoption.
