Systems Integration Engineer

On-site in Atlanta, GA (Midtown) + up to 50% Travel in the field

Our client, a leader in their industry, has an excellent opportunity for a Systems Integration Engineer to work on a 6+ month contract position with potential for extension in Atlanta, GA (Midtown). This role requires up to 50% travel, with approved travel expenses reimbursed.

Due to client requirements, applicants must be willing and able to work on a W2 basis. For our W2 consultants, we offer a great benefits package that includes Medical, Dental, and Vision benefits, 401k with company matching, and life insurance.

Rate: $60-$70/hr W-2 plus approved travel expenses

Responsibilities

Design and integrate systems spanning electrical, embedded, software, networking, sensing, AI, and field infrastructure.

Develop and troubleshoot C++ and Python software, embedded computing platforms, hardware/software interfaces, and diagnostic tools.

Integrate cameras, sensors, optics, lighting, PCBs, edge-computing platforms, servers, networks, and computer vision solutions.

Deploy, test, commission, and troubleshoot systems in lab and field environments, isolating issues across hardware, software, networking, sensing, and data.

Collaborate with engineering, software, data science, cybersecurity, DevSecOps, and field teams to deliver reliable end-to-end systems.

Travel to field locations as needed

Experience Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, a related discipline, or equivalent experience.

Experience integrating and troubleshooting complex hardware, software, or embedded systems.

Working knowledge of C++ and Python.

Understanding of electronics, sensors, embedded systems, and IP networking.

Ability to read schematics, datasheets, technical drawings, and system documentation.

Strong hands-on troubleshooting and cross-functional problem-solving skills.

Interest in expanding into adjacent engineering disciplines such as hardware, mechanical systems, or mechatronics.

Ability to travel up to 50%.

Preferred Skills

Computer Engineers interested in expanding into hardware, electronics, sensing, and physical system integration.

Electrical Engineers interested in growing into mechanical systems, mechatronics, robotics, and broader system integration.

Mechatronics Engineers comfortable working across electrical, mechanical, embedded software, sensing, and automation.

Experience with robotics, computer vision, machine learning, PCB integration, embedded Linux, networking, or industrial automation is a plus.

Education Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, a related discipline, or equivalent experience.
