About the Role
We are looking for a Senior Program Manager - Hardware NPI & Manufacturing to lead the end-to-end execution of hardware product development, from engineering and supplier readiness through pilot builds, production ramp-up, and mass manufacturing.
This role requires close collaboration with engineering, operations, sourcing, quality, and manufacturing teams to ensure products are delivered on time, within cost, and at the highest quality standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Drive end-to-end program execution across hardware product development and manufacturing.
- Own New Product Introduction (NPI) milestones, including EVT, DVT, PVT, and production readiness.
- Coordinate cross-functional teams including Mechanical, Electronics, Firmware, Software, Supply Chain, Quality, and Manufacturing.
- Manage suppliers, contract manufacturers (EMS), and external partners to ensure timely execution.
- Oversee tooling, BOM readiness, production documentation, testing processes, and manufacturing readiness.
- Identify and mitigate program risks related to quality, cost, timelines, and production capacity.
- Lead pilot builds, production ramp-up, and monitor key manufacturing metrics such as yield, defects, and first-pass quality.
- Drive cost optimization and value engineering initiatives while maintaining product quality and reliability.
- Establish project governance through regular reviews, dashboards, change management, and stakeholder communication.
- Support post-launch manufacturing and continuous improvement initiatives.
Ideal Candidate
- 5-8+ years of experience in Hardware Program Management, NPI, Manufacturing Engineering, or Product Industrialization.
- Experience taking electromechanical hardware products from development through production.
- Strong understanding of EMS/PCBA, plastics, sheet metal, machining, tooling, and assembly processes.
- Experience working with suppliers, contract manufacturers, and cross-functional engineering teams.
- Hands-on experience with manufacturing processes, quality systems, and production readiness.
- Familiarity with FMEA, RCA, CAPA/8D, ECO/ECN, change management, and risk management.
- Excellent project management, stakeholder management, and communication skills.
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electronics, Manufacturing, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.
Preferred Experience
- Consumer Electronics, IoT, Medical Devices, HealthTech, or other hardware product companies.
- Exposure to embedded systems, sensors, thermal products, or reliability-critical hardware.
- Experience working with manufacturing partners across India or international locations.
- PMP, Six Sigma, or other project/quality certifications are an advantage.

- Quickly establish visibility into product development, supplier readiness, and project risks.
- Successfully drive cross-functional execution through pilot builds and production launch.
- Improve manufacturing quality, production efficiency, and scalability while building robust NPI processes for future products.
