The Role • Operate specialized heavy equipment (hostlers, cranes, top loaders) to move shipping containers. • Load and unload containers from railcars and trucks efficiently and safely. • Drive hostler vehicles to position containers and chassis within the intermodal yard. • Conduct pre- and post-operation inspections of equipment to ensure safety standards are met. • Coordinate container moves and tasks with yard personnel and supervisors. • Maintain a safe work environment by adhering to established protocols and procedures. What You'll Need • A valid driver's license is essential for this position. • Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions and perform physically demanding tasks. • Strong commitment to safety and a keen attention to detail. • Willingness to work flexible schedules, including shifts, weekends, and holidays. • Basic communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively within a team. • Prior experience operating heavy equipment in a logistics or industrial setting is preferred.
