The Role

• Operate specialized heavy equipment (e.g., hostlers, cranes, top loaders, side loaders) to move shipping containers.
• Load and unload containers from railcars and trucks accurately and safely.
• Position and organize containers within the intermodal yard.
• Conduct pre- and post-operation equipment inspections to ensure safety and functionality.
• Coordinate with yard personnel and supervisors to manage daily logistics operations.
• Maintain a safe work environment by adhering to established protocols.

What You'll Need

• A valid driver's license is required for this position.
• Previous experience operating heavy equipment or machinery in a logistics or industrial setting is preferred.
• Strong commitment to safety, attention to detail, and the ability to perform physically demanding tasks.
• Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions and willingness to work flexible schedules, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
• Basic communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively within a team.
• Aptitude for climbing ladders/stairs and the ability to lift up to 50lbs.
