Appian Developer

We are seeking an Appian Developer with strong client-facing experience in the analysis, design, development and deployment of Appian-based applications. The role is based in Sydney, with flexible hybrid working arrangements reviewed on a case case basis.

Key responsibilities

• Solve complex technical problems using Appian and supporting platforms, including Appian BPM, connectors and web services.
• Lead development teams, troubleshoot technical issues and coach junior staff on technical best practices.
• Lead solution and product demonstrations, POCs/Proof of Technology workshops, effort estimates, pre-sales, scoping and client presentations.
• Research and implement tools to simplify application development, while maintaining project documentation, training and tooling.
• Build relationships with Appian Customer Success Managers and support recruitment activities, including events and candidate interviews.

Essential Requirements

• 4-8 years of client-facing experience in the analysis, design, development and deployment of Appian-based applications.
• Strong Appian design and development experience, including Appian BPM, connectors, web services and custom development such as Java.
• Knowledge of automation and low-code platforms, plus ERP, CRM, BPM/workflow, data integration/EAI and/or enterprise architecture and data management.
• Experience leading teams and multiple engagements, with strong analytical, problem solving and risk management capabilities.
• Appian Developer Certification(s), with excellent written, verbal, interpersonal and customer-facing communication skills.
