Position Overview:
We are seeking an experienced Senior Android Engineer to design, develop, and enhance modern Android mobile applications. The ideal candidate will have strong hands-on expertise in Kotlin, Jetpack Compose, Android XML layouts, mobile application architecture, REST APIs, and third-party SDK integrations.

This role is ideal for a senior mobile engineer who can contribute across the full application development lifecycle while following modern Android development practices and architectural patterns.

Key Responsibilities:
Design, develop, test, and maintain high-quality Android applications using Kotlin.

Build responsive and user-friendly interfaces using Jetpack Compose and traditional Android XML layouts.

Implement scalable application architectures using patterns such as MVVM, MVI, and Clean Architecture.

Develop and integrate REST APIs into Android applications.

Integrate and maintain third-party SDKs and libraries.

Collaborate with product managers, designers, QA engineers, and other developers to deliver mobile solutions.

Troubleshoot, debug, and optimize applications for performance, stability, and usability.

Participate in code reviews and contribute to coding standards and best practices.

Help evaluate and adopt modern Android technologies and development approaches.

Ensure applications are maintainable, scalable, secure, and aligned with business requirements.

Required Qualifications:
10+ years of professional experience in mobile application development.

Strong hands-on experience with Kotlin.

Demonstrated experience developing Android applications using Jetpack Compose.

Strong experience working with Android XML layouts.

Solid understanding and practical experience with:

MVVM

MVI

Clean Architecture

Strong proficiency integrating REST APIs.

Experience integrating third-party SDKs and libraries.

Strong understanding of Android application development lifecycle and best practices.

Ability to work effectively in an onsite environment in Madison, Wisconsin.

Strong communication, collaboration, problem-solving, and technical troubleshooting skills.
