DevOps Engineer / Hybrid / Contract / Terraform / Kubernetes / AWS

This DevOps Engineer contract opportunity is based in North Austin, TX, 78728, and requires onsite presence three days per week. The role is a W2 contract with potential conversion to a full-time position after six months, supporting a close-knit and flexible team environment.
The team is responsible for building and deploying cloud infrastructure that supports enterprise software and cloud solutions for highly regulated organizations. The environment is automation-focused, leveraging Infrastructure as Code, Kubernetes, Terraform, Ansible, GitLab, and multi-cloud platforms to deploy, manage, and troubleshoot infrastructure and containerized services. Required Skills & Experience

• Hands-on experience with Terraform
• Strong Kubernetes experience
• Experience with Ansible playbooks
• AWS and/or multi-cloud experience
• Strong Linux administration skills
• Networking fundamentals including:
  • TCP/IP
  • Routing
  • DNS
• Experience troubleshooting containerized services
• Experience working with GitLab repositories

• U.S. Citizen

What You Will Be Doing

• Build, deploy, and troubleshoot Kubernetes-based containerized services
• Write, modify, and debug Terraform code across multiple cloud providers
• Run and maintain Ansible playbooks for customer environments
• Work within GitLab across multiple repositories
• Troubleshoot network connectivity issues between customer and hosted environments
• Support cloud infrastructure deployments through automation and Infrastructure as Code practices
