People Partner - 18 month FTC

Are you an experienced People Partner with a strong background in organisational change, workforce transformation and TUPE?

We are embarking on a significant period of transformation, bringing together services and teams to create a more integrated and effective organisation for the future. As a result, we are seeking an experienced People Partner to play a pivotal role in supporting complex people change programmes over the next 18 months.

This is a unique opportunity to work at the heart of a large-scale transformation agenda, partnering with senior leaders to navigate organisational change, harmonise terms and conditions, manage workforce integration, and ensure a positive employee experience throughout the journey.

Description

Reporting into the senior People leadership team, you will act as a trusted advisor on complex change programmes and employment matters, providing expert guidance to leaders and stakeholders during a period of significant organisational transition.

Key responsibilities will include:

• Leading and supporting complex organisational change programmes and restructures.
• Providing expert advice on TUPE transfers, workforce integration and consultation activity.
• Supporting the review and harmonisation of terms and conditions, policies and people practices.
• Partnering with directors and senior leaders to develop people strategies aligned to transformation objectives.
• Assessing organisational design requirements and supporting the implementation of new operating models.
• Working closely with Employee Relations colleagues to manage complex people matters arising from change activity.
• Ensuring all change programmes are delivered in line with employment legislation, best practice and organisational values.
• Building strong relationships with trade unions, employee representatives and key stakeholders.
• Using workforce data and insight to identify risks, trends and opportunities throughout the change process.
• Supporting leaders to effectively communicate change and maintain employee engagement during periods of uncertainty.

Profile

• Significant experience operating as a People Partner, HR Business Partner or senior HR professional within a large, complex organisation.
• Proven experience leading and advising on TUPE transfers and major organisational change programmes.
• Strong knowledge of employment law, consultation requirements and workforce transformation best practice.
• Experience supporting the review and implementation of terms and conditions.
• A track record of influencing and coaching senior leaders through complex people challenges.
• Experience building productive relationships with trade unions and employee representatives.
• Strong stakeholder management, communication and negotiation skills.
• The ability to balance strategic thinking with hands-on delivery.
• CIPD qualification (Level 5 or above) or equivalent professional experience.
