Corrosion Technician | San Diego, CA, United States | Hybrid | $85,000 - $105,000

This employer is a leading provider of specialized technical support to the U.S. Navy, renowned for its expertise in maintaining critical naval assets. They are seeking a skilled Corrosion Technician to contribute to projects involving U.S. Navy Aircraft Carriers and Surface Ships, fostering a culture of excellence and operational readiness.

The Role

  • Support maintenance and planning for overhaul and repair of equipment and systems on U.S. Navy vessels.
  • Conduct "Find, Fix, and Train" operations to empower sailors in equipment maintenance during deployments.
  • Provide technical guidance for maintenance, including logistical support, for Hull, Mechanical and Electrical (HM&E), aviation equipment, and C4I systems.
  • Perform inspections, maintenance, and repair of tanks, voids, ventilation systems, and bilges according to NAVSEA standards.
  • Document coating inspections using the CCIMS database.

What You'll Need

  • Ten (10) years of experience in inspection, maintenance, and repair of tanks, voids, ventilation systems, and bilges.
  • Completion of Navy Basic Paint Inspector (NBPI) or NACE Level 1 Basic Course.
  • Knowledge of NAVSEA coating systems and the CCIMS database.
  • Three (3) years of tank or corrosion inspection experience in accordance with the CCAMM manual.
  • High School Degree.
  • Must be a U.S. citizen and possess a secret security clearance.
