Job Description

Key Responsibilities • Systems Administration (Tier 1 & Tier 2) ◦ Provide Tier 1 and Tier 2 support for Windows and Linux servers and workstations. ◦ Respond to user incidents, service requests, and system alerts in accordance with established procedures. ◦ Troubleshoot operating system, application, network, and hardware issues. ◦ Install, configure, patch, and maintain Windows and Linux systems. ◦ Create and manage user accounts, permissions, and system access. ◦ Monitor system health, perform preventative maintenance, and document system changes. ◦ Escalate complex issues to senior engineers while providing detailed troubleshooting documentation. ◦ Develop automation scripts using PowerShell, Bash, Python, or similar scripting languages to improve operational efficiency.

Data Processing & Digital Forensics ◦ Receive, inventory, and securely process customer-provided storage devices. ◦ Identify and mount storage devices containing a variety of operating systems and file systems. ◦ Analyze Windows, Linux, and other file systems to prepare data for processing. ◦ Reconstruct RAID arrays using available metadata and forensic techniques. ◦ Decrypt encrypted volumes, including Linux Unified Key Setup (LUKS), when authorized credentials are available. ◦ Perform forensic data recovery on damaged, corrupted, or partially accessible storage media. ◦ Validate recovered data while preserving data integrity and maintaining chain-of-custody procedures. ◦ Troubleshoot storage hardware, controllers, and operating system issues that prevent successful data acquisition. ◦ Document recovery procedures, technical findings, and processing results.

Required Qualifications • Minimum 4 years of systems administration experience. • Experience providing Tier 1 and Tier 2 technical support in enterprise environments. • Minimum 2 years administering Linux systems. • Minimum 2 years administering Windows systems. • Minimum 2 years of scripting experience using PowerShell, Bash, Python, Perl, or similar languages. • Minimum 1 year of digital forensics or storage recovery experience. • Demonstrated understanding of: ◦ Windows and Linux operating systems ◦ Common file systems (NTFS, FAT/exFAT, ext3/ext4, XFS, Btrfs, etc.) ◦ RAID technologies and disk management ◦ Disk partitioning (MBR/GPT) ◦ Storage interfaces including SATA, SAS, NVMe, and USB ◦ Linux Unified Key Setup (LUKS) encrypted file systems • Experience troubleshooting damaged, encrypted, or non-standard storage devices. • Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders. • Demonstrated ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.

Preferred Qualifications • Experience administering and configuring the sponsor collaboration tools. • Experience supporting enterprise or mission-critical environments.
