Job Description:
\n We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Specialist, Software Engineer/Cloud Developer to join our team. The ideal candidate will hold an active TS/SCI clearance and work onsite at Patrick Space Force Base. This role involves designing, developing, and deploying scalable, secure, and cost-effective cloud-based applications using Amazon Web Services (AWS). You will work to develop secure cloud applications in mission-critical environments where resilience, reliability and operational speed matter. You’ll partner directly with customers and engineers to translate mission needs into practical software capabilities that protect information and deliver an intelligence advantage.

Key Responsibilities:
\n •    Leverage experience in cloud development in AWS to build robust cloud-based applications.
\n •    Migrate existing applications into cloud-based architecture
\n •    Ensure that the applications are scalable, secure, and cost-effective by utilizing the best practices and services provided by AWS.
\n •    Engage in daily interactions with customers to understand their requirements and provide suitable cloud-based solutions.
\n •    Produce detailed documentation to support the design, development, and deployment processes, ensuring clarity and reproducibility.
\n •    Adapt to support various mission areas, demonstrating flexibility and a strong commitment to achieving mission success.

Qualifications:
\n •    Bachelor’s Degree and minimum 4 years of prior relevant experience. Graduate Degree and a minimum of 2 years of prior related experience. In lieu of a degree, minimum of 8 years of prior related experience.
\n •    Active TS/SCI clearance.
\n •    DoD IAT Level II Certification (e.g., Security+) must be obtained within 80 days of hire.

Preferred Additional Skills:  
\n •    On-site/field experience.
\n •    Cloud migration experience.
\n •    Strong written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to brief both technical and non-technical audiences.
\n •    Experience with automating deployments and configuration of EC2 instances.
\n •    Familiarity with the C2S Access Portal (CAP) and high-side AWS environments.
\n •    Experience with configuration of Gitlab pipelines for automated deployment of cloud resources.
\n •    Proficiency in designing, developing, configurating, and deploying cloud-based applications using AWS services.
\n •    A collaborative team player with experience working in a dynamic team environment.
