You'll work across large-scale technology transformation programmes, helping organisations tackle complex challenges and deliver high-quality technology solutions within demanding environments.

The Role

As a Technical Project Manager, you'll take end-to-end responsibility for the successful delivery of technology projects and programmes.

You'll be responsible for:

  • Managing the day-to-day delivery of complex technology transformation projects.

  • Taking ownership of the end-to-end project lifecycle, from design and build through to testing and implementation.

  • Developing and managing comprehensive end-to-end project plans.

  • Managing project budgets, governance and delivery controls.

  • Proactively managing risks, assumptions, issues and dependencies (RAID).

  • Coordinating multi-functional and geographically distributed teams.

  • Managing internal teams, client teams and third-party suppliers.

  • Working closely with clients to align expectations, assumptions, plans and delivery outcomes.

  • Building trusted relationships with senior stakeholders and acting as a credible delivery partner.

  • Clearly communicating project approaches, decisions, progress and challenges.

  • Applying the most appropriate delivery methodology, including Scrum, Kanban, Agile, Scaled Agile and Waterfall.

  • Providing functional and technical input into solution design and implementation.

  • Supporting successful project governance and delivery at scale.

  • Line managing and developing project resources where required.

You'll ideally have:

  • Proven experience managing complex technical projects or programmes across the full delivery lifecycle.

  • Strong experience across Agile and Waterfall delivery environments.

  • A track record of delivering projects successfully against time, budget and quality requirements.

  • Strong understanding of RAID management, governance, dependency management and delivery controls.

  • Experience managing multi-disciplinary and/or geographically distributed teams.

  • Experience of line management and/or project team leadership.

  • Excellent organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously.

  • Strong client-facing communication and stakeholder management skills.

  • Experience working with delivery teams across different locations, including global delivery centres.

  • Strong technical understanding across one or more areas such as:

    • Technical Architecture

    • Solution Architecture

    • Business Analysis

    • Technical Design

    • Software / Technology Delivery

  • Proven experience delivering at scale using methodologies such as Scrum, Kanban and/or Scaled Agile.

  • Strong programme governance, stakeholder management and budgetary control experience.

You'll stand out if you have:
  • Experience managing large, complex technology deliveries involving multiple internal teams, clients and third-party suppliers.

  • Experience working within public sector, healthcare or other highly regulated environments.

  • An interest in delivering technology solutions for UK Government and public sector organisations.

  • Experience influencing and managing senior stakeholders.

  • Cloud, SaaS or relevant technology certifications.

  • Strong technical awareness combined with excellent interpersonal and leadership skills.

  • Experience delivering large-scale technology transformation programmes.

Why consider the opportunity?

This is an opportunity to join a global technology environment working on high-profile transformation programmes with complex delivery challenges.

You'll have access to a broad network of technology and delivery specialists, opportunities to develop your skills and exposure to major technology programmes across highly regulated and public-facing organisations.
