Job Description

Role: Manufacturing Quality Consultant

Location: Greenville, SC (Hybrid)

Job Type: Contract

Position Overview:

We are seeking an experienced Manufacturing Quality professional with strong hands-on expertise in Quality Management processes, Power BI, and Automation. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record supporting quality operations within regulated manufacturing environments and the ability to leverage data analytics, automation, and emerging AI/Generative AI technologies to improve operational efficiency, compliance, and decision-making.

The candidate will work closely with Manufacturing Quality, Business, IT, and technical teams to identify opportunities for process improvement, develop data-driven solutions, and implement automation and AI-enabled capabilities.

Primary Skills:

1. Manufacturing Quality – Required

Strong hands-on experience with Manufacturing Quality processes, including:

  • CAPA (Corrective and Preventive Actions)
  • Deviations / Non-Conformances
  • Change Controls
  • Quality Investigations
  • PPQ (Process Performance Qualification)
  • Manufacturing Quality Management Systems
  • Root Cause Analysis (RCA)
  • Corrective and Preventive Actions
  • Quality documentation and compliance
  • Experience working in regulated manufacturing environments
  • Ability to analyze quality trends, identify risks, and support continuous improvement initiatives

2. Power BI & Automation – Required

  • Develop, maintain, and enhance Power BI dashboards and reports.
  • Transform manufacturing and quality data into meaningful business insights.
  • Develop data models, reports, visualizations, and KPIs using Power BI.
  • Integrate data from multiple sources to support Quality and Manufacturing reporting.
  • Automate repetitive business and quality processes using Microsoft Power Platform or similar automation technologies.
  • Develop workflows using Power Automate and related tools.
  • Identify opportunities to improve efficiency through process automation.
  • Collaborate with business stakeholders to gather reporting and automation requirements.
  • Support data quality, reporting accuracy, and process standardization.

Added / Preferred Skill:

3. AI / Generative AI

  • Experience with AI and Generative AI solutions is highly preferred.
  • Apply AI capabilities to quality reporting, analytics, and process improvement.
  • Explore opportunities to use AI for automated reporting, document analysis, insights generation, and workflow optimization.
  • Experience working with AI-powered business applications, copilots, or enterprise AI solutions is a plus.
  • Ability to collaborate with technical teams to identify practical AI use cases within Manufacturing Quality.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support Manufacturing Quality processes and compliance activities.
  • Analyze quality data related to CAPA, Deviations, Change Controls, Investigations, PPQ, and other quality processes.
  • Develop and maintain Power BI dashboards and reports for Manufacturing Quality stakeholders.
  • Create data-driven insights to identify trends, risks, and improvement opportunities.
  • Design and implement automation solutions to reduce manual and repetitive activities.
  • Work with Quality and business teams to understand process requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
  • Identify opportunities for Power Platform and AI adoption within Quality processes.
  • Support implementation and continuous improvement of reporting, automation, and analytics solutions.
  • Collaborate with IT, Manufacturing, Quality, and other cross-functional teams.
  • Ensure solutions align with applicable quality, compliance, data integrity, and governance requirements.
  • Document processes, requirements, solutions, and technical implementations.
  • Support testing, validation, deployment, and ongoing enhancement of developed solutions.

Required Qualifications:

  • Strong experience in Manufacturing Quality / Quality Management within a regulated manufacturing environment.
  • Hands-on experience with CAPA, Deviations, Change Controls, Investigations, and PPQ.
  • Strong hands-on experience with Power BI.
  • Experience developing dashboards, reports, KPIs, and data visualizations.
  • Hands-on experience with process automation, preferably Microsoft Power Platform / Power Automate.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Ability to work effectively with both business and technical team
