Job Description

We are looking for Machine Operator for our client in Plymouth, MN

Job Title: Machine Operator

Job Location: Plymouth, MN

Job Type: Contract

Job Overview:

Pay Range: $13.92hr - $18.92hr

Requirement/Must Have:

  • Ability to read, comprehend, and follow written procedures.
  • Ability to understand and follow verbal instructions.
  • Understanding of and ability to utilize electronic data collection systems and computer software packages.
  • Ability to prioritize work by determining the sequencing and timing of different jobs based on precedence and importance.
  • Ability to handle and maneuver small components and parts.
  • Ability to make critical decisions and judgments with minimal supervision.
  • Ability to use a microscope for 50% to 90% of the work day based on line assignment.
  • Ability to work overtime on Fridays and Saturdays based on business needs.
  • Adherence to clean room dress code including non-shedding clothing and specific footwear requirements.
  • Compliance with personal grooming standards for a regulated environment, including no makeup or nail polish.

Responsibilities:

  • Perform routine and repetitive assembly operations and processes under direct supervision.
  • Ensure that relevant job documentation for cell operations and functions is accurate and up to date.
  • Utilize troubleshooting skills and interpersonal skills such as conflict resolution and active listening.
  • Communicate ideas, problems, and solutions to all levels of manufacturing management in both written and oral form.
  • Represent the organization during tours by demonstrating techniques and sharing appropriate information.
  • Support the organization s policies and procedures.
  • Maintain a positive attitude when interacting with internal and external customers.
  • Follow safety guidelines and utilize appropriate safety devices when performing all operations.
  • Participate in continuous improvement and quality initiatives to enhance production processes.
  • Perform routine and preventative maintenance on applicable equipment to maximize efficiency and safety.
  • Maintain accurate records to ensure traveler and quality documents are accurate and parts are traceable.
  • Demonstrate a basic understanding of Lean Manufacturing and continuous improvement.
  • Collaborate with management in setting and monitoring individual goals and cell performance metrics.
  • Support divisional initiatives and regulatory requirements including Quality Management Systems (QMS) and Environmental Management Systems (EMS).

Nice to Have:

  • 6 months of experience working in a medical or other regulated production environment.
  • Previous medical device, manufacturing, or assembly experience.
  • High school degree or equivalent.
