Job Description

Job Description acuCyber is hiring a Systems Administrator to support a classified program. The Systems Administrator will install, configure, operate, maintain, and troubleshoot secure computing environments that support mission-critical systems and applications. This position collaborates with systems engineers, cybersecurity personnel, network administrators, software developers, and government stakeholders to maintain system availability, performance, security, and operational readiness.

The Systems Administrator is responsible for managing Windows and Linux servers, user accounts, permissions, system services, virtualization platforms, storage resources, backups, and recovery operations. The administrator will monitor system health, apply patches and security updates, implement approved configurations, resolve hardware and software issues, and maintain accurate technical and configuration documentation.

The position will also support system hardening, STIG compliance, vulnerability remediation, configuration management, incident response, system integration, and authorization activities.

Required Skills

  • Bachelor's level degree in Electrical/Electronic/Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or Information Systems.
  • 3-10+ years of systems administration experience
  • Cybersecurity Workforce IAT/IAM Level 2
  • Experience configuring Active Directory, Group Policy, user accounts, permissions, DNS, DHCP, and other core infrastructure services.
  • Experience with virtualization, system monitoring, patch management, backup and recovery, storage administration, and automation or scripting.
  • Experience implementing system hardening requirements, applying STIGs, remediating vulnerability findings, and maintaining secure configuration baselines.
  • Active TS/SCI Clearance Desired Skills
  • Master's Degree
  • Additional relevant certifications
