Job Description
Responsible for designing, developing, and implementing complex communication networks within the organization. Primarily responsible for all aspects of switching hardware from core to network edge, including documentation, monitoring, troubleshooting and change control. Working with a team to perform system configurations and installations, system administration, and system security. Builds and maintains network (WAN, Data Center, and Core) and integrates with all enterprise systems.
Primary Responsibilities oLead the design, architect, and manage network infrastructure that best supports business initiatives oMonitor network performance and recommend network changes and upgrades based on utilization oCollaborate with Technical Architects in network and other systems design oProvide assistance to Network Engineer team with escalated advanced network related troubleshooting issues oMaintain knowledge of current and emerging technologies/products/trends related to architectural solutions
Job Qualifications
Education: oBachelor s degree in an IT related field or equivalent education and experience
Experience: oA specialist on complex technical and business matters. o7+ years of network engineering expertise supporting 100+ site WAN and LAN environment oWork is highly independent. oMay assume a team lead role for the work group. oTypically requires 7+ years of related experience. o7+ years of experience with core, distribution, and access switching and routing technologies and datacenter technologies (e.g MPLS, vPC, Etherchannel, BGP, OSPF, policy based routing) oStrong knowledge of networking technologies and WAN communications including TCP/IP (routing and subnetting), QoS, MPLS, IPSec, etc oUnderstanding of cross-functional/cross-domain requirements and impact oExpertise in networking concepts oExperience implementing and supporting SD-WAN environments oStrong knowledge of Load Balancing and Global Server Load Balancing oStrong troubleshooting skills oExperience supporting voice and video across the WAN oExperience using Visio or other tools for documentation oStrong organization and analytical skills oDetail oriented
