Software Engineer

Top Consulting is looking to hire a Software Engineer; you will develop data integration solutions. Write software for our client and help use technology to take advantage of renewable resources.  You’ll work with highly technical employees that have a deep understanding of the applications which monitor the conditions of the bulk electric system and give operators the data they need to make the best decisions possible.

Responsibilities

• Develop and support software applications critical to electric grid and energy market operations.
• Design and develop microservices, RESTful APIs, and data integration services.
• Modernize applications and platforms using private cloud and container technologies.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams in an Agile environment to deliver complex solutions.
• Implement solutions that support the growth and integration of renewable energy.
• Participate in continuous improvement of development tools, processes, and applications.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Software Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.
• 2–5 years of professional software engineering experience.
• Strong experience with Java, Quarkus or Spring Boot, RESTful APIs, and Linux/WSL.
• Experience working in an Agile development environment.
• Self-motivated with strong problem-solving and collaboration skills.
• Ability to work on complex systems supporting critical infrastructure.
