Job Description
MANTECH seeks a motivated, career and customer-oriented Network Specialist to join our Air Force / Space team at Eglin AFB . The Network Specialist's primary function is to support the United States Air Force's 53rd Wing Technical Support Services (53rd WTSS) contract. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Researching and developing solutions to issues that arise as part of daily operations.
- Assisting with developing new solutions to keep the network evolving and forward looking.
- Provide Tier 2 and 3 supports for network testing and operations.
- Managing network local test environment including, routers, switches, firewalls, servers, CUCM, and VOIP phones.
- Creating documentation and diagrams for all projects as well as changes made to the network.
- Working in a Hyper-V environment to help maintain servers related to network management.
- Working with datacenter network technology including Nexus switches and vPC.
- Maintaining and developing changes involving firewalls, routers, switches, TACLANES, Solarwinds, GEM One, and Hyper-V.
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in related discipline from an accredited college or university. 2 additional years of experience may be substituted for a degree.
- 2+ years direct/related experience.
- Active / valid DoD 8570.01-M IAT-II or higher certification.
- Working knowledge of CISCO network and switching and virtualization technologies.
- Working knowledge of Local Area Network (LAN) and Wide Area Network (WAN) technologies and data backup technologies.
- Working knowledge communication security (COMSEC) policies and integration.
- Working knowledge of Risk Management Framework, Common Criteria, and System Security Policy as they relate to assessments and authorization.
- Working knowledge and current relevant experience with PL2 and PL3 network environments/systems.
- Must be familiar with DoD policy as it applies to implementing and executing system and network administration.
Clearance Requirements
- Must have a current/active Top-Secret clearance .
- Must be able to obtain and maintain a DoD TS/SCI-eligible clearance (i.e. DCID 6/4 eligibility).
- Eligibility for access to Special Access Program Information.
- Willingness to submit to a Polygraph.
Physical Requirements
- The person in this position must be able to remain in a stationary position 50% of the time.
- Occasionally move about inside the office to access file cabinets, office machinery, or to communicate with co-workers, management, and customers, via email, phone, and or virtual communication, which may involve delivering presentations."
- Must be able to regularly lift up to 50 lbs
