We are looking for an experienced Cafe Manager to join the team at International Students House

Location – International Students House Vauxhall (located at 238 Kennington Lane) provides affordable and friendly accommodation in our brand-new building.

•  Breakfast and lunch are available in our Café, which is open 8 am to 4 pm daily.
• Relax on our rooftop terrace with views across London, including The Oval Cricket ground, which is very close by. Just a short walk away from Kennington Park – a large and attractive Victorian park with winding paths in a historic and peaceful atmosphere. A 10-minute walk to the Albert Embankment, where you can cross Vauxhall Bridge to visit Tate Britain, Westminster Abbey and Big Ben.

We Offer:

Rate: £38,000

Shifts: 5 days out of 7/ Mon- Fri/ Weekends

Contract: Full Time

About the Cafe Manager role:

• To supervise, manage and motivate the team, Previous barista experience is preferred but not essential.

• To make sure that the operation runs smoothly

• To ensure the customers experience is always maintained to the highest standard

• To continuously work towards improving sales and service

• Supporting and managing the performance of the team through ongoing evaluations, listening, training, and mentoring

• Ensuring high levels of Food and Health & Safety are always maintained

The ideal candidate will possess good food and beverage knowledge in addition to outstanding customer service, and leadership skills.
