Job Description

Fairchild Live: Senior Event Producer

Fairchild Live, the events arm of Fairchild Media Group under Penske Media Corporation (PMC), is seeking a Senior Events Manager to join its high-performing, fast-paced team. Fairchild is home to iconic brands including Women’s Wear Daily (WWD), Footwear News (FN), and Beauty Inc., and sits at the intersection of the global fashion, beauty, and retail industries. WWD, often referred to as the fashion bible, is where decision-makers go to understand where the industry is headed and why it matters.

This is a highly visible role for an experienced events leader who thrives in a strategic and execution-driven environment. The Senior Events Manager will own regional and international programs end to end while also contributing to long-term planning, team development, and operational efficiencies. This role partners closely with editorial, sales, marketing, and leadership to deliver best-in-class experiences that support both brand storytelling and business growth.

As Fairchild values in-person collaboration and team cohesion, employees work onsite four days per week with one remote day, reinforcing a connected and inclusive culture.

Key Responsibilities

Event Leadership & Execution

  • Serve as the lead on assigned tentpole programs, managing the full event lifecycle from planning through execution and post-event analysis
  • Lead large scale productions with a high degree of autonomy, ensuring delivery against brand, audience, and revenue objectives
  • Build and oversee comprehensive timelines, run-of-show documents, and production schedules to drive flawless execution
  • Lead on-site operations including load-in, live production, talent management, and strike.
  • Partner with editorial and programming teams to manage speaker and talent logistics, including travel, green room flow, and on-site experience

Strategic Planning & Calendar Development

  • Play an active role in the development and evolution of the annual Fairchild Live event calendar
  • Contribute to goal-setting, strategic planning, and post-event performance reviews to inform future programming decisions
  • Support the team in identifying new formats, locations, and opportunities aligned with business priorities

Venue & Vendor Strategy

  • Lead venue and vendor sourcing, negotiations, and contracting with a focus on quality, scalability, and cost efficiencies
  • Strengthen and maintain year-long vendor partnerships to drive consistency, leverage volume, and unlock operational efficiencies across the portfolio

Creative & Brand Execution

  • Translate established brand guidelines into elevated, execution-ready event environments
  • Lead the development of look-and-feel decks and activation presentations in partnership with internal teams
  • Oversee all physical design elements including staging, florals, signage, and sponsor activations to ensure cohesive, on-brand delivery across all touchpoints

Financial Oversight

  • Own event budgets, forecasts, and financial tracking, ensuring accuracy
  • Lead post-event reconciliation and reporting, identifying opportunities for optimization and savings

Post-Event Analysis

  • Lead post-event debriefs and reporting, capturing insights to continuously improve programming and execution
  • Ensure events deliver measurable impact against defined KPIs and strategic goals

Required Experience

  • At least 6–8 years of event management experience, ideally within media, fashion, beauty, or experiential agency environments
  • Proven ability to lead complex, high-profile events with multiple stakeholders
  • Strong background in vendor negotiations, contract management, and budget ownership
  • Strong creative sensibility with a sharp eye for detail and brand consistency

Skills & Competencies

  • Strategic thinker with a strong execution muscle and a solutions-oriented mindset
  • Comfortable operating at both the big-picture and ground-level details of live events
  • Comfortable with a roll-up-your-sleeves mindset. We move boxes, pack, and jump in with vendors to get the job done!
  • Confident vendor-facing leader with advanced negotiation and relationship-building skills
  • Team-first mentality with a genuine interest in developing others

A good faith estimate of the salary is $90k - $97k upon hire. Factors that could be used to determine your actual salary may include your specific skills, years of experience and comparison to current employees already in this role. If you have more or less experience than specified on this job posting, please apply and list your salary expectations.

If hired, employee will be in an “at-will position” and the Company reserves the right to modify base salary (as well as any other discretionary payment or compensation program) at any time, including for reasons related to individual performance, Company or individual department/team performance, and market factors).
