This entrepreneurial leadership role will accelerate growth, expand strategic VA relationships, and establish a scalable business model that delivers sustainable results and an exceptional Veteran experience.

Reporting to the Chief Growth Officer, the General Manager will take a hands-on approach to sales development during the initial growth phase while building a high-performing team and operational infrastructure. This role partners with Sales, Operations, Marketing, Finance, Compliance, Recruiting, and IT to transform the VA pilot into a significant long-term growth opportunity.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute the VA sales and commercial growth strategy, including market prioritization, account development, pipeline management, referral generation, and conversion optimization.

  • Serve as a hands-on sales leader during the first 9–12 months, establishing relationships with VA Medical Centers, Community Care stakeholders, referral partners, and Veteran-serving organizations while building and coaching a high-performing sales team.

  • Own the VA business strategy and financial performance, including revenue growth, admissions, budgeting, forecasting, resource allocation, profitability, and performance against established KPIs.

  • Build and scale the VA operating model, developing organizational structures, staffing plans, processes, technology, and performance standards that support sustainable growth and operational excellence.

  • Lead cross-functional execution across Sales, Operations, Marketing, Compliance, Recruiting, Finance, IT, and other teams, establishing clear accountability and alignment around business priorities.

  • Oversee the Veteran experience from referral through admission and ongoing service, identifying opportunities to improve access, service delivery, and customer satisfaction.

  • Evaluate new markets, partnerships, and growth opportunities while developing talent, monitoring business risks, and providing strategic recommendations to executive leadership.

This is a hybrid position, coming into the El Segundo office 1x/quarter, with 50-70% of time spent in the field.

Work Schedule: Business hours are 8:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. Pacific Time. Depending on the position and business needs, employees may be required to work any scheduled shift within these operating hours.

What You Bring to the Table:

Qualifications

  • 10+ years of progressive business leadership experience, including significant sales and commercial leadership responsibilities.

  • Demonstrated success leading field sales teams, developing strategic accounts, and delivering measurable revenue growth.

  • Proven experience building or scaling a business, service line, business unit, or new market within an entrepreneurial or high-growth environment.

  • Experience with P&L ownership, financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, resource allocation, and profitability management.

  • Bachelor's degree required; advanced degree preferred. Experience leading cross-functional teams in a matrixed organization and willingness to travel 50–70% during the first 12 months required.

Skills

  • Entrepreneurial leadership, organizational development, and business scaling

  • Financial management, P&L accountability, and data-driven decision-making

  • Strategic planning, operational execution, and performance management
