Job Description
Cyber Security Expert
Introduction
Isoft is seeking a vigilant and skilled Cybersecurity Expert to protect our organization’s digital assets, infrastructure, and sensitive data from evolving cyber threats. In this role, you will be responsible for designing and implementing robust security measures, monitoring network traffic for anomalies, conducting vulnerability assessments, and leading incident response efforts. The ideal candidate possesses a deep understanding of security frameworks, network architectures, and threat mitigation strategies to ensure organizational resilience and compliance.
Responsibilities
- Security Implementation & Defense: Design, deploy, and maintain robust technical defenses, including firewalls, intrusion detection/prevention systems (IDS/IPS), encryption protocols, and endpoint protection software.
- Vulnerability Management & Risk Assessment: Proactively scan systems, networks, and applications to identify, evaluate, and prioritize security gaps. Conduct penetration testing and ethical hacking simulations.
- Monitoring & Incident Response: Continuously monitor security access logs and alerts (via SIEM and other tools) to detect unauthorized activities. Lead the investigation, containment, and remediation of security breaches.
- Audits & Compliance: Perform regular security audits to ensure adherence to internal policies and regulatory standards (e.g., ISO 27001, HIPAA, SOC 2, GDPR).
- Security Policies & Governance: Develop, update, and enforce comprehensive cybersecurity policies, procedures, and disaster recovery plans.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration & Training: Work closely with IT, development, and leadership teams to integrate security-first practices across all projects. Educate employees on cybersecurity best practices and threat awareness.
Requirements
Required:
- Education: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience).
- Experience: 4+ years of hands-on experience in information security, network administration, or a similar cybersecurity role.
- Technical Proficiency:
- Deep understanding of networking protocols, operating systems (Linux, Windows), and cloud environments (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud Platform).
- Expertise in security tools such as SIEM platforms, firewalls, vulnerability scanners, and endpoint detection and response (EDR) solutions.
- Knowledge of cryptography, data encryption standards, and identity & access management (IAM).
Preferred:
- Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP)
- Certified Ethical Hacker (CEH)
- CompTIA Security+
- Certified Information Security Manager (CISM)
Soft Skills & Competencies
- Analytical Thinking: Strong capability to dissect complex log data, trace attack vectors, and solve high-pressure security challenges.
- Communication: Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to explain technical risks clearly to non-technical stakeholders.
- Detail-Oriented: High vigilance and attention to detail for spotting subtle anomalies or system vulnerabilities.
