Position Overview

We are seeking a Senior Enterprise Application Architect to lead application assessment, migration planning, and modernization initiatives across large and complex enterprise environments. The architect will evaluate application portfolios, define modernization strategies, develop target-state architectures, and establish actionable migration roadmaps across Java, .NET, legacy, packaged, and custom application landscapes.

The ideal candidate brings a combination of enterprise application architecture, portfolio assessment, cloud migration, modernization strategy, and technical solutioning experience.

Required Qualifications

• 15+ years of experience in enterprise technology, including application development, architecture, technical solutioning, or related disciplines.
• 8+ years of application architecture experience with significant involvement in application assessment, migration strategy, and modernization initiatives.
• Experience leading application portfolio assessments involving 50 1000+ applications across diverse technology environments.
• Strong understanding of application rationalization and 7-R / R-Treatment methodologies.
• Ability to evaluate applications and recommend appropriate modernization treatments based on technical, business, financial, and operational considerations.
• Experience designing or evaluating cloud architectures involving containers, serverless platforms, microservices, APIs, and event-driven architectures.
• Strong understanding of enterprise application dependencies, integrations, middleware, databases, and distributed application architectures.
• Experience with application discovery, monitoring, code quality, security, and assessment platforms such as CAST, Dynatrace, AppDynamics, SonarQube, Veracode, AWS X-Ray, and AWS MGN.
• Experience with DevSecOps and modern delivery toolchains including Jenkins, GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps, Terraform, and CloudFormation.
• Ability to develop modernization roadmaps, migration wave plans, technical estimates, risk assessments, and executive-level business cases.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills with the ability to work across technical and business teams.

Preferred Experience

• Experience with large-scale enterprise cloud transformation programs.
• Experience working across AWS and/or Azure environments.
• Background in Java, .NET, legacy modernization, and heterogeneous enterprise application ecosystems.
• Experience supporting multi-year application migration and modernization programs.
• Experience presenting architecture recommendations and modernization strategies to senior technology leadership.
