Job Description:

  • We are seeking a Senior .NET & Azure Developer with 15+ years of enterprise software development experience to design, develop, and support scalable, high-performance applications and Azure-based data solutions.
  • The ideal candidate will have deep hands-on expertise in C#, .NET, SQL, Microsoft Azure, Azure Data Factory (ADF), and Azure Functions, with experience delivering solutions within large, complex enterprise environments.
  • This role will be responsible for developing cloud-native services, APIs, data pipelines, and integration solutions while ensuring high standards for performance, security, reliability, monitoring, and maintainability.
  • The successful candidate will work closely with DevOps, Data Engineering, Architecture, and business teams to deliver enterprise-grade solutions and support production systems across the full technology stack.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop, enhance, and maintain Azure-based applications and data solutions using Azure Data Factory, Azure Functions, and related Azure services.
  • Design and develop scalable C#/.NET applications, APIs, microservices, and service layers that expose data and business functionality to downstream systems.
  • Build robust integration solutions connecting enterprise applications, databases, APIs, and cloud services.
  • Implement event-driven, asynchronous, and batch processing patterns based on application and data requirements.
  • Develop and optimize Azure Data Factory pipelines for data ingestion, transformation, orchestration, and integration.
  • Design Azure Functions and serverless services to support event-driven processing and enterprise integrations.
  • Develop complex SQL queries, stored procedures, data models, and database solutions while optimizing performance and scalability.
  • Ensure data integrity, consistency, availability, performance, and reliability across applications, APIs, pipelines, and data platforms.
  • Implement comprehensive monitoring, logging, alerting, and operational controls across Azure services, applications, APIs, and data pipelines.
  • Troubleshoot complex production issues across the application, API, database, integration, and Azure infrastructure layers.
  • Participate in production deployments, release management, environment support, and post-deployment validation.
  • Collaborate with DevOps teams to support CI/CD pipelines, automated deployments, source control, and infrastructure/application configuration.
  • Work closely with Data Engineering, Architecture, QA, Product, and Business teams to translate requirements into scalable technical solutions.
  • Participate in architecture and design discussions and provide recommendations on cloud-native and enterprise development patterns.
  • Establish and enforce coding standards, development governance, design patterns, documentation, and engineering best practices.
  • Conduct code reviews and provide technical mentorship to other developers.
  • Identify opportunities to modernize legacy applications and migrate workloads to Microsoft Azure and .NET-based architectures.
  • Develop solutions with appropriate attention to security, scalability, resiliency, maintainability, and operational supportability.

Required Qualifications

  • 15+ years of professional software development, application engineering, or data engineering experience, preferably within large enterprise environments.
  • 10+ years of hands-on software or data engineering experience.
  • Strong hands-on experience with C# and .NET/.NET Core development.
  • Extensive experience developing enterprise applications, APIs, services, and integration solutions.
  • Strong experience with Microsoft Azure and cloud-based application development.
  • Hands-on experience with Azure Data Factory (ADF).
  • Hands-on experience with Azure Functions and serverless application development.
  • Strong SQL skills, including complex query development, data modeling, stored procedures, indexing, and performance tuning.
  • Experience designing and implementing RESTful APIs and service-oriented architectures.
  • Experience with event-driven and batch processing architectures.
  • Experience integrating applications and data across multiple enterprise platforms.
  • Strong understanding of application performance, scalability, reliability, and troubleshooting.
  • Experience implementing logging, monitoring, alerting, and production support capabilities.
  • Experience working with enterprise DevOps and CI/CD practices.
  • Strong understanding of software development lifecycle methodologies, source control, testing, deployment, and release management.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills with both technical and business stakeholders.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with additional Azure services such as Azure SQL, Azure Service Bus, Event Grid, Event Hubs, Key Vault, Storage Accounts, Application Insights, and Azure Monitor.
  • Experience with Azure DevOps, Git, CI/CD pipelines, and automated deployments.
  • Experience with microservices and cloud-native architectures.
  • Experience with messaging, distributed systems, and asynchronous processing.
  • Experience modernizing or migrating legacy enterprise .NET applications to Azure.
  • Experience working with large-scale relational databases and enterprise data platforms.
  • Experience in financial services, banking, insurance, healthcare, or other highly regulated enterprise environments is a plus.
