The Role • Operate specialized heavy equipment (hostlers, cranes, top loaders, side loaders) to move shipping containers. • Load and unload containers from railcars and trucks accurately and safely. • Drive hostlers to position containers and chassis within the intermodal yard. • Conduct pre- and post-operation equipment inspections to ensure safety and functionality. • Collaborate with yard personnel and supervisors to coordinate daily logistics activities. • Maintain a safe work environment by adhering to established protocols. What You'll Need • A valid driver's license is mandatory. • Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions and perform physically demanding tasks. • Willingness to work flexible schedules, including all shifts, weekends, and holidays. • Strong commitment to safety and a keen eye for detail. • Basic communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a team. • Must pass pre-employment background check, physical, and drug screening (cannabis prohibited).
