Isilon to NetApp Migration Engineer

Our client, located in San Jose, CA, is currently in need of a NetApp Storage Migration Engineer for a 2 year contract. The consultant will work a hybrid schedule with 3 days per week onsite to start and then more flexibility based on need as the contract progresses. The consultant will be responsible for performing Isilon to NetApp storage migrations.
Responsibilities:

• Assess and develop a plan to migrate their Isilon infrastructure
• Ability to Pull autosupport information and execute initial diagnostics without generating a support ticket
• Help resolve events in the field about a particular version of ONTAP
• Work with PS/Support resources and open up dialog immediately and take the lead to quickly to help resolve issues or diagnosing failover events without customer hand holding
• Transfer of knowledge to other individuals in customer org.

Required Skills:

• Ability to work on a W2 basis
• Ability to work onsite 3 days per week to start then as needed as the contract progresses
• Experience with Electronic Design Automation
• Experience migrating data from Isilon to NetApp
• Experience with storage automation, either Python or Ansible
• Deep OnTap experience
• Experience with NetApp migration tools

Desired Skills:

• AWS or Google Cloud Platform cloud knowledge

The expected hourly rate range for this role is: $55 - 85 per hour
