Job Summary
We are seeking a qualified Mechanical Engineer with strong expertise in HVAC, Plumbing, and Fire Protection system design. The ideal candidate will hold a Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering from an ABET-accredited program and possess a valid Professional Engineer (PE) license. This role requires a minimum of 6+ years of experience in building systems design, along with strong proficiency in Revit for developing and coordinating engineering designs. The candidate will be responsible for delivering high-quality mechanical design solutions, ensuring compliance with industry standards, and collaborating with multidisciplinary teams on various projects.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and develop HVAC, Plumbing, and Fire Protection systems for commercial, residential, or industrial projects.
- Prepare and review mechanical design drawings, layouts, and specifications using Revit and other design tools.
- Ensure all designs comply with local codes, industry standards, and regulatory requirements.
- Perform load calculations, equipment selection, and system sizing for HVAC and plumbing systems.
- Coordinate with architects, electrical engineers, structural engineers, and project managers to ensure integrated project delivery.
- Review project documentation and provide technical guidance during design and construction phases.
- Conduct site visits and inspections to verify installation and resolve technical issues.
- Maintain accurate engineering documentation, reports, and project records.
- Provide technical support and mentorship to junior engineers and design staff when required.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering.
- Minimum 6+ years of experience in HVAC Design, Plumbing Design and Fire Protection System Design
- Must hold a Professional Engineer (PE) License.
- Strong experience in Revit.
