Job Purpose

  • The Team Lead - SAP Sales and Distribution supports enterprise SAP solutions for AHM's Enterprise system services by serving as the functional lead and subject matter expert for SAP SD and related logistics processes.
  • This role partners with business and IT stakeholders to translate requirements into scalable SAP solutions, supports Honda AHM’s transition from SAP ECC to SAP S/4 HANA, and ensures reliable delivery of projects, enhancements, production support, compliance activities, and post-go-live stabilization.
  • The candidate must have participated in at least one full-cycle SAP S/4HANA implementation and must bring demonstrated team lead experience.

Key Accountabilities

  • SAP SD Functional Leadership: Serve as functional lead and SME between AHM's enterprise system business stakeholders and IT for SAP Sales and Distribution processes. Lead requirements gathering, facilitate business workshops, validate functional designs and specifications, review UAT plans and results, coordinate change control, approve transports as appropriate, and support post-go-live stabilization for SAP SD, Logistics Execution, WM/EWM, and related processes. Manage hands-on configuration for Order-to-Cash and related business processes, including serialized equipment, material classification, pricing and condition technique, material listing and exclusion, sales contracts, credit management, ATP, and third-party order processing.
  • SAP ECC to S/4HANA Transformation: Support Honda AHM’s SAP S/4 HANA transformation by contributing to Fit-to-Standard workshops, S/4 HANA SD simplification review, Fiori application adoption, embedded analytics, SAP Activate methodology, cutover planning, data migration, testing, and hyper care readiness.
  • Production Support and Enhancements: Partner with internal teams and external vendors to maintain stable production operations. Monitor incidents, coordinate timely resolution against SLAs, prioritize enhancement requests with business points of contact, and ensure delivery commitments are tracked through completion.
  • Center of Excellence and Compliance: Support SAP Center of Excellence activities, including user onboarding and access requests, SOX ITGC and ITAC procedures, internal and external audit support, process documentation, change request validation, production transport review, privileged access monitoring, and knowledge transfer.
  • Integration and Technical Coordination: Provide functional leadership for integration topics involving IDocs, ALE, EDI transactions such as 850, 855, 856, and 810, APIs, middleware, SAP BTP concepts, RICEF development lifecycle, debugging support, troubleshooting, and batch job processing.

Qualifications, skills and experience

  • Education:
    • Must have a college level Bachelor’s degree preferably in Computer Sc / Information Technology / Data Analytics/ Data Science / Electronics or a related STEM field of study
  • Minimum relevant work experience in the industry:
    • At least 8 or more years of SAP SD experience
      •  Strong SAP SD configuration and Order-to-Cash process knowledge, including sales orders, pricing, delivery, billing, returns, ATP, credit management, and contracts.
      •  Working knowledge of SD integration with MM, LE, WM/EWM, FI/CO, third-party logistics systems, and related master data.
      •  Understanding IDocs, ALE, EDI, APIs, middleware, SAP BTP concepts, RICEF lifecycle, debugging support, and batch jobs.
    • Participation in at least one full-cycle SAP S/4 HANA implementation.
      •  Hands-on participation in at least one full-cycle SAP S/4 HANA implementation, including design, testing, cutover, go-live, and hyper care.
    • At least 5 or more years of project management, team lead, and cross-functional stakeholder management experience.
      •  Proven experience leading teams, mentoring team members, managing priorities, and communicating status, risks, and issues.
      •  Experience with requirements gathering, functional specifications, SIT, UAT, change control, SOX controls, incident management, and production support.
    • Experience with SAP full-cycle implementations, production support, and post-go-live stabilization.
      • Proven leadership of medium-size teams, including coaching, mentoring, work planning, and delivery accountability.
      • Strong understanding of project management principles, Honda IT Project Management Methodology, quality management, incident management, and problem management.
      • Strong business case analysis, problem-solving, root cause analysis, written communication, presentation, and stakeholder engagement skills.

Workstyle

  • This is an onsite job. One remote workday per week may be possible with prior departmental approval.
