Database Administrator with Security Clearance

Position Description: We are seeking an experienced Database Administrator (Mid/Senior Level) to support high-security federal projects in Washington, DC. This on-site contract role involves managing and optimizing Oracle and PostgreSQL database environments, ensuring their performance, security, and reliability. You will troubleshoot issues, perform patches and upgrades, optimize performance, and implement backup and recovery solutions to meet stringent federal security standards. Join a dynamic team supporting the FBI EPAS program and contribute to critical national security initiatives.

Oracle & PostgreSQL Database Administration – Administration, troubleshooting/debugging, patching, upgrades, performance tuning, backup/recovery, and database restoration. AWS Database Services – Hands-on experience with AWS RDS, S3, and DMS. Database Performance, Security & Recovery – Experience resolving performance/availability issues, configuring databases to meet federal security requirements, and using backup/recovery technologies such as Oracle RMAN and Flashback.

Top Requirements: Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Database Administrator, with hands-on expertise in Oracle and PostgreSQL database management
Proficiency with AWS RDS, S3, and DMS for cloud database solutions
Strong background in database performance tuning, security, and recovery techniques, including Oracle RMAN and Flashback
Experience troubleshooting, patching, upgrades, and restoring databases while ensuring compliance with federal security guidelines
Ability to support application development by assisting in creating and deploying DML and DDL scripts
