A large NHS organisation is seeking an experienced and fully qualified finance professional to support a key financial planning programme during a period of organisational development and transformation.
This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated and collaborative finance leader who enjoys working across complex organisations, engaging with stakeholders, and helping shape strategic financial plans.
The Role
Working within the senior finance team, you will play a leading role in coordinating and refreshing the organisation's medium-term financial planning process. You will work closely with finance colleagues and operational stakeholders to ensure plans, assumptions and financial returns are aligned and accurately reflected within strategic submissions.
Key responsibilities will include:
- Supporting the development and refresh of multi-year financial plans
- Coordinating planning activities across finance and operational teams
- Gathering, consolidating and analysing financial information from a range of stakeholders
- Producing reports and summaries for senior leadership and board-level audiences
- Leading the completion of financial submissions and statutory returns
- Working collaboratively across teams to ensure robust planning assumptions and financial modelling
- Supporting continuous improvement of planning processes and governance arrangements
About You
We are keen to speak with fully qualified accountants who have experience operating at Senior Finance Manager level within large, complex organisations.
The ideal candidate will have:
- Extensive experience in financial planning, forecasting and strategic finance
- NHS experience, ideally gained within an Integrated Care Board or similar healthcare environment
- Strong stakeholder management and relationship-building skills
- Experience coordinating work across multiple teams and priorities
- The ability to prepare and present information for senior executives and boards
- A positive, adaptable and proactive approach
- A recognised CCAB or CIMA qualification
