Switchboard Hiring is looking for a Vice President of Credit on behalf of our client, Native American Bank. If you’re a seasoned credit leader who wants to run a credit department where every deal has real community impact, let’s talk.

Requirements

  • 10+ years of credit experience, including time in a leadership role.

  • Deep expertise in commercial credit analysis, financial statement analysis, loan documentation, and credit administration.

  • Strong command of banking regulations, with hands-on experience supporting exams and audits.

  • Clear communicator who can turn credit data into actionable recommendations for executives and the board.

  • Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, or a related field; master’s preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and develop the credit department, setting goals and building a collaborative, high-performing team.

  • Oversee commercial underwriting, loan structuring, and covenant setting to ensure sound, policy-compliant credit decisions.

  • Monitor portfolio performance and concentration risk, and help manage the problem loan portfolio.

  • Partner with the Chief Credit Officer on credit policy, loan loss allowance, and preparation for regulatory exams and audits.

  • Deliver regular credit risk reporting to senior management and the board, and lead process and systems improvement projects.

Job Details

  • Location: Denver, CO (Hybrid)

  • Hours: Full-time

  • Reports to: Chief Credit Officer

  • Compensation: $140,000 – $175,000
