The Role • Installation of a variety of cables and electrical systems, including junction boxes, fuse panels, and transformers. • Performing cable termination and installation of all electrical equipment to trade standards. • Reading and interpreting electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and technical documentation. • Collaborating with shipbuilding teams to ensure efficient and timely electrical installations. • Ensuring all work strictly complies with safety and quality standards. What You'll Need • Completed a Modern Apprenticeship (SVQ Level 3) or equivalent trade qualification. • Hold a valid SJIB card. • Experience working in marine installations or major industrial environments. • Familiarity with risk assessments, PUWER, COSHH, and safe working requirements. • Ability to read and follow trade drawings, electrical schematics, and technical instructions. • Proficiency in tag-out processes and safe proving-dead procedures.
