Network Engineer

We are looking for a skilled Senior Data Center Technician to join our team. In this role, you will leverage your extensive experience in data center environments to ensure the reliability, performance, and security of our critical infrastructure. Your expertise will be crucial in leading troubleshooting efforts, performing hardware installations, and optimizing data center operations while mentoring junior technicians.

Responsibilities

• Lead the installation, configuration, and maintenance of data center hardware including servers, storage systems, and network equipment
• Oversee troubleshooting processes for hardware and infrastructure issues, employing systematic diagnostic techniques and tools
• Implement and monitor data center best practices, ensuring compliance with operational policies and security standards
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver seamless integration of new technologies and systems
• Mentor and train junior technicians on data center operations and maintenance procedures
• Conduct regular audits and assessments of data center performance, identifying areas for improvement

Required Qualification

• 5+ years of experience working in a data center environment with a focus on hardware maintenance and troubleshooting
• Solid understanding of data center architecture, including rack and power management
• Proven experience with hardware installation and configuration, including servers and networking devices
• Strong knowledge of monitoring tools and systems for performance analysis

Preferred Qualification

• Experience in managing large-scale data center operations or projects
• Familiarity with virtualization technologies such as VMware or Hyper-V
• Certifications such as CompTIA A+, Network+, or equivalent

Technical Skills and Relevant Technologies

• Deep knowledge of server hardware from manufacturers such as Dell, HP, and Cisco
• Experience with data center infrastructure management (DCIM) tools
• Understanding of network topologies and protocols including TCP/IP, DNS, and DHCP
