Marqo is hiring a Staff Software Engineer (Agentic Search) to provide senior technical leadership in the development of large-scale AI-driven search and retrieval systems for ecommerce. The engineer will be responsible for driving architecture, mentoring other engineers, and ownership of systems from design to production.

Position Description Main Responsibilities

• Design and implement scalable distributed systems.
• Build high-performance search, retrieval, and machine learning applications.
• Architectures for search and recommendation systems powered by AI.
• Build own projects from start to finish: design, deployment, and continued operations.
• Work with customers and product teams to address complicated technical problems.
• Lead technical direction and mentor fellow engineers.
• Enhance engineering standards, system dependability and platform performance.
