Applications Engineer | Reno, NV, United States | On-site | $87,900.00 - $110,000.00

This employer is a globally recognised leader in technology distribution and services, seeking an experienced Applications Engineer to join a critical production support team. The role is ideal for a problem-solver who thrives at the nexus of development, support, and cross-functional collaboration within a complex, integrated enterprise environment.

The Role

  • Design, develop, and maintain software solutions within a highly integrated enterprise system.
  • Engage in the full software development lifecycle, from design and coding through to testing, implementation, and documentation.
  • Provide essential production support by troubleshooting intricate issues across applications, interfaces, and integrated systems.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to map upstream/downstream dependencies, data flows, and system interactions.
  • Analyze and support various integration technologies including APIs, web services, batch processes, and middleware.
  • Investigate and resolve data and interface discrepancies to ensure system accuracy, reliability, and performance.

What You'll Need

  • 5-7 years of relevant experience, or equivalent work experience.
  • Strong proficiency in Oracle PL/SQL.
  • Substantial experience supporting applications in a production environment with multiple integrations.
  • Hands-on experience with integration technologies such as APIs, interfaces, batch jobs, or middleware platforms.
  • Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot complex issues that span multiple systems and teams.
  • Comfortability working independently while collaborating effectively with global, cross-functional partners.
