Maritime Robotics Systems Engineer | Laurel, MD, United States | Hybrid | $100,000 - $245,000 Annually

The Role

  • Perform systems engineering for the development of advanced maritime robotics systems.
  • Lead and mentor multidisciplinary teams in the design, integration, and testing of autonomous and remotely operated vehicles.
  • Apply systems engineering best practices to autonomy, AI, and uncrewed vehicle development.
  • Oversee the integration and testing of autonomous control software for maritime platforms.
  • Serve as a subject matter expert on maritime robotics technologies, providing guidance on industry best practices.
  • Collaborate with government sponsors and industry partners on critical national challenges.

What You'll Need

  • Bachelor's degree in Systems Engineering, or a related technical field.
  • 4+ years of relevant Systems Engineering experience, ideally with US Navy or DOD platforms.
  • Experience developing and integrating uncrewed vehicles, autonomy software, and/or maritime systems.
  • Proven experience building and leading technical engineering teams through system development lifecycles.
  • Experience working with US Navy or other government sponsors in a research and development or acquisition environment.
  • Strong organizational, planning, and communication skills.
