Vehicle Operational Safety Specialist

Ann Arbor, MI or Palo Alto, CA (Onsite)

12+ month contract

Job Description:   

Required Skills:

  - 2+ years of experience in a similar role within the automotive industry.
  - Safety Management & Compliance: Knowledge of operational safety standards, safety management systems, risk assessment, and incident-prevention practices.
  - Policy & Procedure Development: Ability to create clear, practical safety standards, operational procedures, controls, and documentation.
  - Auditing & Assessment: Experience planning/conducting compliance audits, reviewing documentation, identifying gaps, writing reports, and driving corrective actions.
  - Process Improvement & Risk Analysis: Capability to analyze workflows, identify hazards/inefficiencies, prioritize mitigation actions, and verify control effectiveness.
