Join a key role within the Digital team, leading the direction, delivery and continuous improvement of marketing automation and audience management capabilities. Working closely with Digital, CX, Growth Marketing, Data and Technology teams, you will design and optimise automated member journeys, audience segmentation and targeted communications that improve engagement, retention and member outcomes.
About the role- Lead the evolution of marketing automation and audience management capabilities, supporting the delivery of targeted and personalised member communications.
- Influence and support the implementation of new technologies, including engagement platforms, customer data platforms and emerging communication channels.
- Design, build and manage automated member journeys across marketing automation and digital platforms.
- Develop and maintain audience segments, rules, exclusions and suppression logic, ensuring accuracy, consistency and compliance.
- Support the delivery of campaign-based communications, templates and related communication activities.
- Leverage Sitecore AI and marketing automation tools to deliver timely and relevant member experiences.
- Provide day-to-day guidance, coaching and support to team members, sharing expertise and promoting best practice.
- Review team outputs and provide quality assurance and constructive feedback prior to go-live.
- Develop and execute testing and QA processes to ensure journeys, audiences and communications perform as intended.
- Monitor campaign and journey performance, identifying opportunities for optimisation, personalisation and A/B testing.
- Ensure communications comply with privacy, consent, brand, risk and regulatory requirements.
- Maintain clear documentation of journey logic, audience rules, controls, testing outcomes and performance reporting.
- Manage relationships with technology vendors and platform providers supporting automation and audience management capabilities.
- Extensive experience in marketing automation, lifecycle marketing, CRM, customer engagement or digital marketing.
- Proven experience building and managing audience segments, automated journeys, triggered communications and consent-based marketing activities.
- Strong experience with marketing automation, CMS, CRM, Sitecore AI or similar engagement platforms.
- Demonstrated ability to translate campaign and customer journey requirements into effective automated communications.
- Experience coaching, mentoring or guiding colleagues and contributing to capability development within a team environment.
- Strong attention to detail, with experience managing journey logic, audience rules, testing processes and quality assurance activities.
- Ability to analyse engagement and performance data and translate insights into practical improvements and optimisation opportunities.
- Sound understanding of privacy, consent, accessibility, brand and communication governance requirements.
- Strong stakeholder management skills, with the ability to work effectively across Digital, CX, Growth Marketing, Data, Technology, Risk and Compliance teams.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to clearly explain journey design, performance outcomes, risks and recommendations.
- A proactive mindset with a passion for improving member experiences through personalisation, automation and innovation.
- Experience with personalisation, optimisation and customer journey design initiatives
- Experience operating in highly regulated, member-focused environments, ideally where marketing automation and audience management capabilities have been matured or transformed
- Experience managing relationships with technology vendors and implementation partners.
