Location of Works: Oxford & Surrounding Areas

Salary Bracket: £38,000 – £40,000 Basic Salary

On-Target Earnings (OTE): £40,000+ with Overtime

ABOUT OUR CUSTOMER

Our customer is a national technical services provider, forming part of a larger multi-service facilities management group, with a strong and growing engineering team. They deliver fire and security solutions across a broad mix of sectors — including retail, distribution, education, leisure, and healthcare — and hold top-tier industry accreditations. Due to continued growth, they are looking for an experienced Fire & Security Technician to join the business on a long-term basis, working across a varied customer base with ongoing training, career development, and a strong package of benefits.

Salary & Benefits – Fire & Security Technician

  • £38,000 – £40,000 basic salary
  • Paid travel after the first 30 minutes each way

Key Responsibilities – Fire & Security Technician

  • Carry out routine servicing and fault-finding across a range of Fire & Security systems
  • Complete scheduled preventative maintenance visits in line with client requirements
  • Attend reactive breakdowns and service requests within agreed response times
  • Diagnose system faults and implement effective repair solutions
  • Identify equipment requiring replacement or further remedial works
  • Accurately complete service documentation and compliance records
  • Ensure all works are carried out safely and in accordance with relevant industry standards
  • Maintain a high level of customer service while working on client sites

Skills & Experience – Fire & Security Technician

  • Previous experience working within the Fire & Security industry
  • Relevant educational qualifications or equivalent industry experience
  • Electrical qualification such as NVQ, City & Guilds or similar
  • Previous experience working on CCTV systems, including networked and traditional platforms
  • Knowledge of fire detection and alarm systems
  • Strong fault-finding and problem-solving abilities
  • Desirable: IPAF certification (training can be provided)
  • Full UK Driving Licence
