SC Cleared Python Engineer

SC Cleared Python Engineer<br />Initial 5-month Contract<br />Fully Remote<br />£400 - £575 p/day, Inside IR35 We're recruiting for a Python Engineer to support the development and improvement of secure, python solutions This role will focus on Python engineering, package management, CI/CD and automation, working closely with engineering, security and platform teams to create reliable and user-friendly solutions for development teams.

Key Responsibilities:

Build and maintain secure Python and package management golden paths<br />Develop curated package repositories and controlled publishing workflows<br />Design and maintain CI/CD pipelines, reusable templates and developer tooling<br />Integrate platform services with identity, security and runtime environments<br />Develop automated onboarding and self-service capabilities<br />Support reproducible development environments across Windows, WSL, Linux and containerised platforms<br />Troubleshoot developer issues and reduce reliance on workarounds<br />Improve platform reliability, build success, performance and supportability<br />Produce clear technical documentation and support knowledge transfer<br />Work collaboratively with engineering teams to gather feedback and continuously improve the platform

Requirements:

Strong Python development skills, with hands-on experience managing packages, dependencies and internal Python libraries using tools such as pip, PyPI and Conda<br />Strong Python engineering and package management experience<br />Experience with CI/CD pipelines, automation and artefact repositories<br />Experience with containers and reproducible development environments<br />Understanding of SSO, RBAC, security scanning and API integration<br />Knowledge of SBOMs, provenance and policy-as-code<br />SC ClearanceECS Recruitment Group Ltd is acting as an Employment Business in relation to this vacancy
