The Role • Design, develop, and implement secure systems within on-premises infrastructure. • Integrate security into the system design, development, testing, and deployment phases, ensuring compliance with DoD Risk Management Framework (RMF). • Collaborate with ISSOs, ISSMs, software engineers, system engineers, and government counterparts on comprehensive systems and cyber security engineering tasks. • Support the secure architecture and design of DoD systems in accordance with DoDI 8510.01 and NIST SP 800-53. • Lead the integration of RMF activities into the System Development Lifecycle (SDLC). • Develop and maintain essential security documentation, including System Security Plans (SSPs), Security Assessment Reports (SARs), Risk Assessments, and Plan of Actions and Milestones (POA&Ms). What You'll Need • Bachelor's degree in cybersecurity with 8+ years of experience, or equivalent years of relevant experience in lieu of a degree. • Active TS/SCI clearance with the ability to obtain a Poly. • At least one of the following DoD 8570.01-M IASAE Level II certifications: CISSP, CISSP-ISSAP, CISSP-ISSEP, CSSLP, or CASP+ CE. • Experience reviewing cybersecurity vulnerabilities, assessing risk, and planning mitigations. • Proven ability to architect, design, troubleshoot, maintain, and deploy vulnerability scanning solutions. • Strong understanding of Microsoft Windows and Linux/UNIX operating systems.
