The Role • Operate specialized heavy equipment, including hostlers, cranes, and top/side loaders, for efficient container movement. • Load and unload shipping containers from railcars and trucks accurately and safely. • Drive hostlers to position containers and chassis within the intermodal yard. • Conduct pre- and post-operation equipment inspections to ensure safety and functionality. • Collaborate with yard personnel and supervisors to coordinate daily logistics tasks. • Maintain a safe work environment by adhering to established safety protocols. What You'll Need • A valid driver’s license is mandatory for consideration. • Previous experience operating heavy equipment in a logistics or industrial setting is preferred. • Strong commitment to safety practices and excellent attention to detail. • Ability to perform physically demanding tasks, including lifting up to 50 lbs, and work outdoors in various weather conditions. • Willingness to embrace flexible schedules, including potential night shifts determined by union seniority. • Basic communication skills and the ability to function effectively within a team.
