SAP Project Manager

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced SAP Project Manager to lead the planning, execution, governance, and delivery of SAP implementation, upgrade, rollout, and support projects. The ideal candidate will have strong SAP project management experience combined with hands-on expertise in JIRA, Agile/Scrum, Waterfall/Hybrid delivery, and enterprise release management.

The candidate will work closely with Product Managers, Product Teams, technical and functional teams, business stakeholders, and leadership to ensure projects are delivered on time, within scope, and with clear governance and accountability.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end SAP projects including implementations, upgrades, rollouts, migrations, and support enhancements.
• Support large-scale SAP S/4HANA programs and enterprise ERP transformation initiatives.
• Manage project scope, schedules, resources, dependencies, risks, issues, and change requests.
• Own and administer JIRA boards, including Epics, Features, User Stories, Tasks, and Subtasks.
• Configure JIRA workflows, dashboards, custom fields, and project reporting.
• Use JQL to create queries, reports, and project tracking views.
• Integrate and maintain project artifacts through JIRA and Confluence.
• Manage project and program-level RAID/CRAID logs.
• Track risks, issues, assumptions, decisions, dependencies, and change requests.
• Coordinate release planning, testing cycles, cutover activities, training, and data readiness.
• Support Program Increment (PI) Planning and related Agile/SAFe ceremonies.
• Coordinate dependencies between SAP modules and legacy/third-party systems.
• Monitor project milestones, deliverables, scope, timelines, and release readiness.
• Facilitate sprint planning, iteration reviews, retrospectives, and stakeholder meetings.
• Prepare project status reports, dashboards, steering committee presentations, and management updates.
• Remove project blockers and escalate issues through appropriate governance forums.
• Support transition from project delivery to steady-state support and operations.
• Drive continuous improvement in project management processes, JIRA standards, reporting, and governance.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in IT, Computer Science, Business Administration, or related field.
• 6+ years of IT experience, including 3+ years managing SAP projects/programs.
• Hands-on experience with SAP implementation, upgrade, rollout, migration, or support projects.
• Experience with SAP S/4HANA is strongly preferred.
• Strong hands-on experience with JIRA.
