Commodities Product Control

Our client, a leading financial services firm based in London, is looking for a Commodities Middle Office Analyst to join their growing team. This is an excellent opportunity for an ambitious professional with several years of product control or middle office experience to further develop their career within a dynamic commodities trading environment.

Responsibilities:

1. Assist with the daily P&L production and analysis for commodities trading desks
2. Investigate and explain P&L movements, working closely with traders, risk and finance teams
3. Support daily risk reporting and analysis
4. Review and validate trade bookings, valuations and market data inputs
5. Contribute to process improvements, controls and reporting enhancements within the middle office function

Requirements:

1. Exposure to commodities markets, such as Energy, Metals or Agricultural products
2. Experience supporting P&L production and analysis
3. Understanding of financial markets, trading activities and valuation principles
4. 1–3 years of experience within Product Control, Middle Office or a similar commodities-focused role would be preferable
5. Degree in Finance, Economics, Mathematics or a related discipline
6. Strong Excel and data analysis skills
