External Communications, PR, and Media Relations, Asset Management, London

Our client is a global asset manager with specialist and thematic investment strategies, who are looking for a senior member of their communications team based in London. The role role directly into the global leadership team and has direct access to the CEO.

Responsibilities

1. Own and execute a proactive global media relations and PR (public relations) strategy
2. Cultivate and expand relationships with international financial journalists and editors
3. Advise ExCo and senior leaders on media engagement, acting as corporate spokesperson when required
4. Craft narratives, speeches, Q&As, key messages and bylines
5. Identify emerging themes (e.g. AI, ESG market evolution, and regulation) and drive thought leadership
6. Partner with product specialists, investment writers, and portfolio managers to shape strategic messaging
7. Plan and align internal and external communications to deliver consistent narratives
8. Raise the profile of senior leaders through targeted media opportunities and platforms

Requirements

1. Previous experience in external communications/media relations in asset management as required
2. Established, active network of relevant journalists, and market contacts
