The Role

• Operate specialized heavy equipment, including hostlers, cranes, top loaders, and side loaders, to move shipping containers.
• Load and unload containers from railcars and trucks, ensuring efficient daily logistics operations.
• Perform pre-and post-operation equipment inspections to guarantee safety and functionality.
• Coordinate container moves and task execution with yard personnel and supervisors.
• Maintain a safe work environment by strictly adhering to established protocols.
• Handle the physical demands of the role, including working outdoors in various weather conditions.

What You'll Need

• A valid driver's license is mandatory.
• Previous experience operating heavy machinery or equipment in a logistics or industrial setting is preferred.
• A strong commitment to safety and meticulous attention to detail.
• Ability to perform physically demanding tasks, including lifting up to 50lbs and climbing.
• Open availability, including shifts, weekends, and holidays.
• Basic communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively within a team.
